Producer, DJ and musician specialized in lounge music; Dj LeMonk was introduced to the music world when he was 8. He then studied violin, electric bass and singing. Originally a classical music performer, LeMonk played in various blues, jazz and alternative rock bands over the years. His long travel in India in 2003 will mark the beginning of a new adventure. Inspired by the musical frenzy of Goa (in India) and by the electro music of St-Germain, Café Del Mar and Buddha Bar, he starts doing sound design and composition. He will then define the musical borders of his first ambient album, Café Del Monko, released in June 2008.

Prolific artist and producer, Dj LeMonk is already working on a new album which is slated for release in 2010. He established Dj residences in several bars where he presents Dj sessions. He also presents live performances in some major events such as Le Grand Prix de Montreal and Les Francofolies, where his diversity and musical creativity were acclaimed. Dj LeMonk… a promising career, an electronic artist to keep an eye on.
